7 search engine tricks they don't want you to know

Associate Programs Newsletter #132
I wrote this newsletter a day earlier than usual and scheduled it to go out at the normal time - while Joanna and I are hundreds of miles away visiting relatives and attending a wedding. Ain't technology wonderful?
Next week, I'll tell you about the good service I use to distribute this newsletter.

1. Seven tricks the search engines don't want you to know
=========================================================
I had a fascinating chat with search engine guru Michael Campbell at the Boulder Summit conference.
As you no doubt know, Michael is the guy who grossed $750,000 in sales for one company in just over a year, and then wrote "Nothing But Net".

[UPDATE: Michael Campbell has stopped selling this product. If you want a really good, comprehensive instruction manual on affiliate marketing, I recommend Rosalind Gardner's Super Affiliate Handbook. Here's a review of Super Affiliate Handbook.]
At the conference, I quizzed this widely acknowledged expert about some of the search engine tricks he uses.
I was anxious to make sure that the techniques still work and - most important of all - that the search engines won't ban your site for spamming.
Search engines are cracking down harder and harder on spammers so I'm delighted that Michael strives to ensure that his strategies ARE accepted by the search engines.
Now he has just released a series of three papers called the "Search Engine Positioning Reports".
If you want top search engine positioning without paying a fortune, then this may be the most important thing you've ever read.
The really good thing about these reports is that Michael is describing exactly what HE does to get in the top 10 in the main search engines. This stuff works.
Michael shows step by step, in plain English, how to get to the top of search engines and hold your positioning once you get there.
Here's what you'll discover:
Seven dirty positioning tricks (the search engines don't want you to know).
Six search engine optimization secrets that increase positioning while making you money.
Plus there's the highly acclaimed "How to Theme Up Your Web Site", practical tips and an inside look at the hottest optimization strategy of the year.
Click here to learn from the master. He's about to reveal the greatest search engine secrets of all time.
(The reports are being marketed through Kudosnet. If you want to promote Michael's excellent reports and earn useful two-tier commissions, see the link at the bottom of the page.)
[UPDATE:
Kudosnet died. Michael Campbell's Search Engine Reports are no longer being sold. For excellent search engine tips updated every month, the best source on the Net is Stephen Mahaney's "Unfair Advantage Book On Winning The Search Engine Wars" – http://www.AssociatePrograms.com/unfair ]

2. Neil helps affiliate merchants get things right
==================================================
Neil Durrant, who was already doing a good job, has improved Affiliate Announce, and is planning more improvements.
Neil saves affiliate merchants loads of time and frustration by correctly submitting affiliate programs to more than 40 affiliate directories. Neil knows what the directory editors want. He does the submissions by hand and gets them right.
"Over the months a number of clients have asked for additional help, with questions such as: How best do I describe my program? What keywords should I use? Is my program any good? What can I do to improve it?" Neil says.
For such clients, Neil has introduced the Affiliate Announce Premium service.
"The premium service allows me to dedicate more time helping the client providing them with a short-term consultancy service by telephone or e-mail, providing help and advice on how to present their program and avoid any potential submission problems."
FREE REPORT
Neil also provides a free report, "Recruiting Affiliates and Increasing Sales".

3. How to choose the most effective marketing methods
=====================================================
Here's a good article in which successful Internet marketer Jim Daniels describes techniques which he's using successfully.
If you have great success with search engines, you may not agree with everything Jim says.

4. Thought for today: Seeing the boom among the gloom
=====================================================
Stamps.com has laid off 40% of its workforce. The number of layoffs in dot-com sectors rose by 5,677 in October, a new single-month record.
